Oliver Clark Scholarship

Mr. Oliver N. Clark

OLIVER N. CLARK SCHOLARSHIP AND EDUCATION AWARD FOR 2025


Mr. Oliver Clark was a resident of Whitfield Gardens for over 45 years and was a devoted and contributing member of the WGCA since its founding in the mid 1960’s. With a career in Physics and Rocket Engineering, Mr. Clark demonstrated his regard for the Scholarship and Education Fund by contributing annually and generously to all fundraising activities. 


The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial support to a resident of Whitfield Gardens who is a high school graduate accepted into college and also to any resident who is pursuing education or training in a vocational or career institution. With this scholarship named for him, Mr. Clark will be long remembered and his legacy honored.


All graduating high school students who are residents of the Whitfield Gardens community are invited to apply. Also, those who have graduated from high school and who are currently pursuing higher education and who meet the eligibility criteria may apply.


Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have been accepted into an accredited junior college, four-year college/university or technical/vocational/trade school.


  • Must legally reside in the Whitfield Gardens community.
  • Must possess at least a 2.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale (If applicable)
  • Must be a current member of a dues-paying household of the civic association at least two months prior to application submission.
  • Must complete the application as prescribed.
